Featured here is a beautiful cotton jamdani saree in White & Red colour. Jamdani traces its origin to the looms of Bengal where it is woven Nadia and Burdwan districts. Jamdani saris are mostly woven in fine cotton, with extra weft designs that are inserted by hand either with a shuttle or with a needle. While the base fabric uses fine yarn, the ornamentation is usually done with a thicker thread.

This saree has a leafy woven border in Red and White both on the top and bottom. Cotton yarn of about 120 (60 warps/60 wefts per square inch) is used in weaving the saree. The Jamdani weave can be seen in the motifs that embellish the pallu of the saree. The saree also has big checks all over the body.

The feel of the fabric is soft and the colour White looks pristine giving the saree a royal and elegant look.
