Narayanpet Sarees are simple, no frills, elegant sarees woven either in cotton and silk with small or broad borders. The borders of the saree are usually ornate with temple spirals, rudraksha motifs and sometimes animal motifs. These sarees are woven in Narayanpet - a small weaving cluster on the borders of Telangana and Maharashtra. There is a marked  influence of both regions in the way these sarees are woven. Cotton Narayanpet sarees are colourful, soft and lustrous woven with 80 count cotton yarn. They are known for their light weight, durability, affordability and lower maintenance. At one go, 8 sarees are woven together on the loom.
